Scripture in Annandale and Concord 

Village Church teaches Anglican Scripture (SRE) classes at our three local primary schools.
Annandale North Public School is taught on Tuesdays,  Annandale Public School is taught on Wednesdays and Mortlake Public School is taught on Friday's.
We also partner with Generate to provide Scripture to Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt, Balmain and Blackwattle Bay.
We follow an authorised curriculum approved by our providers in partnership with the Department of Education. More detail and sample lessons can be found in the links provided below.
Anyone can join SRE no matter their background, we teach kids from a range of faith and spiritual beliefs, with lessons that challenge kids to think about what they believe, and to care for each other.   

Primary SRE 

Our Scripture team comes under the leadership of our Senior Pastor Dominic Steele and our Kids Pastor Tiffany Bryant.
There are special Easter and Christmas Scripture Assemblies held at Village Church Annandale in place of regular scripture in the last week of first term and towards the end of fourth term for Annandale Schools.
Schools require a professional approach to any sort of voluntary work that is undertaken in the classroom. To aid this all our teachers complete training on how kids learn, classroom management, and teaching skills, along with WWCC and safe ministry training, which they are mandated to maintain each year. Some of our teachers are also trained Primary and High School Teachers, as well as University Lecturers. 
The schools operate on an opt-in system for SRE enrolment. If your child attends one of these schools and would like to join a Scripture class, simply write a note to your school office. Anglican Scripture is taught at many other local schools by other Anglican churches.
