Today we will explore the beautiful passage of Isaiah 7-9 which has not one but two prophecies distinctly pointing forward to God's intent to send a King who will establish peace and rule with Justice. But this promise comes in the context of gloom and dark days for the nation of Israel as they are pressured align themselves with foreign peoples and foreign Gods. So these promises bring with them a call for the original hearers and for us today to trust God, especially when it seems expedient not to.
