"I don't know what to do?" | Galatians 3:27–4:20 | Dominic Steele | 9 May 2021

Today we celebrate the amazingly high status Christians have — baptised in Christ, clothed in Christ, all one on Christ, sons, heirs, and having the spirit work in our hearts. Where else could we go? What could be better? And yet some people want more. There's a moment when the Apostle Paul, the founding pastor of the Galatian Church, is so exasperated with his wayward church that he holds his hands up in the air and exclaims, "I just don't know what to do!" We see the Apostle's deep love for his church. As he wrestles with them over their tragic temptation to leave their amazing high status and revert back to rule keeping as a means of making themselves acceptable to God.
